Our vision

CultureCare is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to improve health outcomes in migrant communities. CultureCare recognises that every community is different and needs culture sensitive and specific guidance.

CultureCare started in 2012 from a Sikh Youth Australia leadership startup boot camp. Since then CultureCare has been focusing on the Australian-Punjabi community to improve health outcomes in the community. The Punjabi community has higher prevalence of diabetes and heart disease in the community which can be attributed to diet, lifestyle and genetics.

CultureCare holds regular pop-up clinics across Australia to increase health awareness amongst recent migrants. Since inception of CultureCare in Sydney, CultureCare pop-up clinics expanded to other cities across Australia, including Melbourne and Perth. The success of CultureCare relies on our dedicated group of volunteers around Australia.

Improving migrant health outcomes with CultureCare’s 3 pronged approach.

Education.

Assessment.

Improvement.
